Wills and Estates
At Turbo Legal we understand that planning for the future and dealing with the passing of a loved one can be a challenging and emotional experience. We have expertise in wills and estates lawyers and will guide you through the process and provide you with peace of mind.
Our services for wills and estates include:
- Wills. A will is an important legal document that ensures your assets are distributed according to your wishes after you pass away. We can assist you in drafting a will that is tailored to your specific needs and circumstances, and we can provide guidance on the legal requirements for a valid will.
- Estate Planning. Effective estate planning can help you minimize taxes, avoid probate, and ensure that your assets are distributed according to your wishes. Our team can provide you with comprehensive estate planning advice, including the use of trusts, powers of attorney, and other legal tools.
- Probate and Estate Administration. Probate is the process of validating a will and administering the estate of a deceased person. We can guide you through the probate process, including applying for probate, preparing estate accounts, and distributing assets to beneficiaries.
- Estate Litigation. Disputes can arise during the administration of an estate or the interpretation of a will. We can provide you with representation and advocacy in estate litigation matters, including will challenges and disputes between beneficiaries.
At Turbo Legal, we believe in providing compassionate and effective legal advice to our clients. We understand that each client is unique, and we take the time to understand your specific needs and circumstances.
We do not offer do it your self Will kits.
A Will is one the most important documents you will ever sign. After you have died, you won’t be around to correct mistakes or to explain your wishes. You can choose to purchase a do it yourself will kit online for as little as $25 but buyer beware. It is the view of most legal practitioners that a will (even a basic will) should be completed in collaboration with a qualified lawyer experienced in drafting testamentary documents. If your will is found to be defective after your death then your loved ones may incur significant legal costs responding to disputes or claims from beneficiaries.
We offer fixed price basic Wills.
Turbo Legal will prepare your basic will for $750 (single) or $1100 (couple).
Risk management tools.
Turbo Legal use our professional indemnity insurer’s risk management tools to ensure that your will is prepared to the standard of a competent legal practitioner.
The use of these tools in our will drafting practice will minimize the likelihood that your Will will be found to be invalid or defective in the event of a legal challenge after your death. It will also ensure that your testamentary wishes are properly understood and carried out.
